Turn your fans on Manually

Well lately my car has been getting hot after runs and i wanted to have a way to try and control this. I got a wiring diagram for our cars and i looked. I found out that there is a connector by the thermostat that has a green and a black wire. I would have pics where it is but i dont know how to post them p m me for pics. Ok after you find this connecter with the green and black wire all you need to do is splice a wire into the green wire and run that spliced wire to a switch. Get a good ground to the switch and there you go you now have a switch for when you want your fan on. It will still turn on automatically but now you can turn it on after runs at the track when it won't go on automatically. I hope this helps many people sorry about not having pics posted although i do have them. Let me have feedback on what you think about this good or waste of time took me about ten minutes

Blahman240 is on a distinguished road
I don't understand how this works... Wouldn't that just be cutting the power to the fan? Wouldn't it stop working when the switch isn't turned on?

Jeff is an unknown quantity at this point
Could also when you turn off your car turn the car to the on position , dont start it, and turn on the ac, the fans will kick on, and will leave the compressor off.

Thats cool.. not a bad idea but you could try getting a different thermostat, like mugen or spoon.. something that opens up at a lower temp.... and a new radiator should help.. since your boosted.. im assuming.

I have pics don't know how to post you just splice a wire into the green wire that is where the thermostat is. Then you run it to a switch add a ground to the switch and when you hit the switch it turns on the fans
