redline problem on a auto hx

my hx it says the redline is at 7000rpm but it stays at 5000rpm and thats it i was wondering if my car is a 4-speed auto or is there no power getting to 7000rpm this would help out alot

try putting it in the lowest gear...i think its D1 or something and flooring it all the way. im pretty sure you'll hit redline.

CVT or auto tranny... Still, its the same answer. You're not controlling the gears, so it shifts when it finds best.

Right... It an automatic, in a CVT it doesn't have gears.
