Another stupid VAFC question

Just set up my VAFCII, I kept getting the rev limit at 4k rpm's. I soldered all of my connections and double checked my wiring. I ran my OBDII reader and pulled 1259. So I disconnected to VTM wire and now everything works great. What the hell is the VTM wire for????
