I did a search and found that people puke at the thought of putting Tenzo Type R seats in their car. But I didn't find anything about the Rallye-2 seats. They are black with gray accents and my buddy has them brand new w/o brackets. With the black I read that I won't have a bad problem with fading, but what other problems run hand and hand with Tenzo R seats? Will I be able to mount them in my 7th gen without the brackets from Tenzo? How does $300 sound for both seats? (That's what he said he'd give them to me for) Thanks in advance!

300 doesnt sound bad for both. Without the Tenzo brackets n sliders your probably going to have to customize your stock setup to acept the seat. I believe the main reason people stick thier nose up at these is the fact that they are not a certfied seat for things such as SCCA and things of that nature. If it was me personaly I would save some more and get a Sparco or Recaro thats all approved and everything. I have sat in the Tenzo and I will say it did feel quite comfy and very nice grip on me.

They fit me great too! What is SCCA? Does that mean I wouldn't be able to do 1/4 mile tt's with them if I wanted to? But this is like a one and only thing cause he's my dads employee and would probably take $275 if I had it. Anything else would cost me that per seat
And the color of these match perfectly too.
I have a set of the Tenzo R Evo (red on the outside, black and red weave in the middle). I picked them up for $200, used for two months. I really like them and everyone that has sat in them really likes them as well. I was going to get RSX or Si seats, but for the price and look of them I couldn't pass up the deal. I don't really care about racing and auto-x and they are great for everyday driving.

That's what I think too. I MIGHT go do a few 1/4 mile runs after I do my K20A2 but that's not till far from now. Do you have any problem with them jgrow, quality/mechanics wise?

Yea unless your like road racing with them you should be fine. I know a few people running them and the build quality seems ok except for a little fading. If your just looking for a seat to daily drive in and spruce up the interior a bit go for it. The Tenzo are alot better than most knock offs out there.

Well, I will do the inevitable outrun with my friends on the highway or a redlight to redlight thing, but nothing serious or professional. But since I'm getting black they won't really fade. Someone on honda-acura.net posted that the closer the color to the sun (orange, red, yellow, etc.) the more they will fade. With gray and black they said almost no fading for a more than a few years.

Meh... sounds like most people here aren't all to against Tenzo R seats like on honda-acura.net. I think I'm gonna take up the offer. I'll post some pics just to give people a little more of an idea of what I got in case you don't know.

Really? Well I know that I'll need brackets from Tenzo R other wise I'll have to mod the stock hardware, but can you find me anything about the seats being too wide? They are the Rallye-2 seats, not the Type R's.
