NOS: what kind for pre throttle body? FOG kind?
NOS: what kind for pre throttle body? FOG kind?
I'm interested in putting a quick NOS kit onto my '02 civic (AT). 2 considerations:
-daily driver (I don't want to kill my engine...I'm thinking around an extra 50HP max)
-I'm planning on selling the car in a year or two (needs to be easily removable, with little after affects...drilling, cutting...)
I've seen some systems that spray into the intake piping, and are triggered by the throttle position along wit han on/off switch insie the car.
Does anyone recomend a specific brand/model?
thanks!

Ha! NAWZZZ On a automatic... Thats funny... Good luck on picking up your transmission 500 feet behind you. I hope you can find all the parts.
But on a serious note, its Nitrous, NOS is a brand. If you plan on selling the car, why do anything to it?

is Nitrous really that hard on an AT?
I'm so bored with this current car, but can't sell it b/c of the $...and whatever car I get in the future, I'll probably want to use Nitrous on that as well.
After some research, it looks like NX wet system is fairly well priced, and easy to install.

Honda auto transaxle will not last long with any n20 or a turbo. Dont think its a good idea personally. Maybe run only 25hp on it and should be ok for a while but will take its toll on the trans.
Stick cars burn up clutchs. One thing you can due is run a Trans cooler to keep the temps down and be sure to change the trans fluid every oil change if your using the n20 a lot. Just a few things that will help.
Your eng will be fine the trans is the issue.
NX is a good set up I use on on my GN and my 4x4

Depends how much you hit the button. Every time you use it, it is like taking a sandblaster to your engine. The first hundred times, I'm betting you will be fine, but I'm not sure how long it will last before you start to have problems.
Think about it this way though. I'm not sure how much you will use before you cause damage, but say that you use it 200 times before you get sick of it. If you get the one for $400 you are paying $2 everytime you want to get a few seconds of added hp. Sure, in a race it might be useful, but I'm betting that you will just hit it here and there to mess around also. You would be surprised how much you could use up in a very short period of time.
