HID retro

I recently bought a HID kit from Impulse but decided that I didnt want to just throw them in. The question I have is can I still retro them and if so what do I need to do it?

this should be in the lighting sub-forum, but i guess i'll have to wait for that to happen.

retrofitting HID into a car that does not come equipped with it stock means that you will be using OE HIDs and NOT a rebased aftermarket kit.

what do you need to do? you have to give some more information as to what you want to do. you can do a reflector based HID retrofit (like on lexus is300, acura tl/cl, lexus rx300, some older mercedes, etc), or a projector based HID retrofit (like on my car or BMW, audi, newer mercedes, etc).

you can't retro a hid kit that replaces oem bulbs. You need parts from a car that already has hids.

so then all I can do at this point is just throw them in because I bought one of the kits that Impulse sells. I would be willing to do whatever to them but now I have already spent that money to buy the kit. I would be altering the stock headlight housing if I could tho.

Only way to get a "cut off" is to have projectors
