bend ignition?
is it possible to bend the ignition with to many keys on your key ring, anyone know how much force it would take for that to happen?

My girfriends VW had to get the ignition replaced cause she had the typical 5 pounds of keys and fobs lanyards etc. on her chain, her dad payed for it, I remember it cost a fair bit, but not the exact amount.

^^yea, when you swing 5lbs back and fourth several times a day on a relatively small and soft piece of metal, it can bend. Our keys are pretty solid though, I don't think it will be a common problem for 7thgens down the line.

my girl keeps her keys down to a minimum. But her rearview mirror, man, there is like 50 lbs hanging from there, like 8 lanyards, graduation tassle, IDs, so much crap.
She had her ignition replaced abouta month and a half ago (turbo install night) and I had to go give her some money. It was like 200+ bucks to have it installed. a ripoff
