my driver's side door button (the sensor that identifies if the door is open or closed) has been having issues. the black button itself pushes out of the rubber cover/grounding plate and goes inside of the body. after the 2nd time fixing it, i decided to actually investigate why it keeps happening.
the black sensor has 3 clips that connect to the 3 prongs on the rubber cover/grounding plate. one of the clips snapped off (damn previous owner must have slammed the door one day). so for now i just swapped the passenger side sensor to the driver's side, since that's the side that gets used the most, and also the side that reminds me if my headlights are on or my keys are in the ignition.
i guess i have to make a stop off at honda and buy that stupid sensor. anyone happen to have the part number on hand or any clue how much it will cost? i can't imagine it costing more than $5. but you never know.

i had the same problem, i went in and bent the clip to pinch the switch in there, then baby it and ifit falls, let it fall and pull the inside door panel out a little, it's easier than trying to fish that bastard out of there
