So for u people claiming close to 40mpg (with exception of the hx), B.S. Go back and do your math and keep better track of miles and gallons pumped in your gas tank.

I have been keeping track since i bought the car, no exceptions.

Here is the proper way of determining your M.P.G.

on fill ups: assuming u used up all your gas, take down your miles driven on that tank and divide by the number of gallons pumped til full.

example: 347.3miles/12.7 gal = 27.346 m.p.g
Don't insult our intelligence. I keep track of my mileage on every tank. It's not hard. I fill the tank up until the pump clicks. When I get in my car, I reset the tripometer immediately. Then, the next time I fill up I make sure the tank is filled until the pump clicks, then I take my mileage on the tripometer and divide my the number of gallons pumped. It's not uncommon for me to get 420 miles on 10 gallons of gas when I make a non-stop road trip on all highway roads. Some cars simply get better mileage than others. Just because your car doesn't get 42 mpg doesn't mean it's impossible.
