Turn Signal Help!!!

Hey Everyone,

This is probably a stupid problem that can be easily fixed I installed 2 amber leds in my turnsignals in my cleared out headlights, and now they flash very fast. I was wondering if there was a way to NOT make them flash so fast.

Thanks!!
Moogy

the Led's don't have as much resistance as the regular bulbs so they are going to flash faster

wiring in some resistors will slow it down but not sure on which ones

Buy a new flasher unit or get one from a junked civic.
Then stopped by Electronic store or Music store and get ask for a 500k potentiometer ( AKA Volume ****).
Open the flasher unit and soldered some wire off the resistor from the flasher unit.
Wire on two wires, one from each point where the resistor was.
These two wires go to the two outer prongs on my potentiometer.
Make sure the wires are long enough so you can put the POT at wherever you want.
Then you can cut it shorter later.
Now drill a hole on the flasher box cover to allow the wires to come thru.
Then solder the wires to the 500k potentiometer.
Then mount th pot where ever.
Now you can adjust from super slow to super fast.

Or you can skip all that and buy somewhere off the net.

follow the DIY for the blinker adjustment, wire in a potentiometer to your flasher relay and adjust it however you want. top of the page in DIY.
