how come my trunk doesn't stay up?

how come my trunk doesn't stay up?

whenever i open my trunk it just falls down and closes. it just seems like it doesn't want to stay up. anybody else have this problem?

i do but my trunk is shaved and the subs in my trunk broke the suports to hold the lid up so thats why mine does it lol

I have the opposite problem since the accident. It will stay in pretty much any position. I would check and see if those metal cross bars fell out of their plastic holder in the middle. There's a way to adjust it too but I don't know.

check ur springs and make sure they didn't pop out...do you have a spoiler? when i purchased my spoiler from honda, it came with stiffer springs...because the stock springs can't handle the added weight

same here, i think it has something to do with the hinges being painted, but not lubricated.

I had this whole bit prepared for you because I felt bad......links for help and everything and then I re-read the title and realized it was your TRUNK that wouldn't stay up....

get better springs..I dunno.

Your the one that got rear ended didn't you ? If so, they probally put the spoiler springs on.

Mine was always fine untill i got my RSX Type R Spoiler and not it just closes if it's like 3/4s the way up. Know anywhere to get stiffer springs ? lolz

go to the DIY section and do the trunk shocks mod.

trunk shocks are excerrent. i love mine, and i only have 1! haha. 2 trunk shocks is too much force

is your trunk stock? if so its the tention bars.. then look like an X
