vtec on a switch
Ahh...ok, still dunno how your gunna do that though. You'll probably need to find out how the ecu kicks vtec in. Take your ecu you and find out which pins controls what and work from there. Something like that I would guess....

reah it allready has been done me and my boy did it with his vtec stopped working on him so we put it on a switch its so simple he has had it on a switch for about 3 months no problems if i get my camera ill do a diy

it is possible... one of my friends swapped a d16 in his EG sedan. it was originally a DX so he didnt have anything to control the VTEC and he was short on cash so he and some of his other friends connected it to a switch, then connected the switch the the throttle body and adjusted the switch so it engaged at 4k RPM. pretty clever, and resourceful if you think about it.
