if all it does is change vtec than you will lose power with anything other than the stock setting.
If it is a fuel controller + 5-8 whp could be seen with tuning on a dyno.

down_ should not be trusteddown_ should not be trusteddown_ should not be trusted
you basicly have my set-up if its the apexi AFCI II...yes you'll notice a whp increase....my setup runs like this....at idle- 6000rpm at normal throttel i run a -1% fuel ratio...(our hondas run rich if ya didnt notice) at WOT it jumps in increments.......1000-3000 is +1% 3000-4500 is + 2% and 4500-6500 is +3%...........that may not seem like alot but its enought.........anymore and the car runs to rich or the ecu resets making your controllers setup revert back to stock (03+ civics have a "smart ECU") makeing engine management harder to do) and any less at normal throttel you run to lean..........no i didnt have it prof. tunned... i did it myself....very carefully ..it took me almost 2 months to get it running perfect.........when i took it to the honda dealer on day to get my oil changed the look'd at the piggy back and told me it was a stupid move to cut the ecu wires...i told them to drive it.........they came back and told me that i practicly had the thing tunned perfectly and was running better than a stock honda.....
