Transmission Problems

Transmission Problems I dont know what is wrong with my tranny but everytime i shift to 3rd at high RPM's i hear a grind, and i am standing all the way on the clutch. so when i race i have to let the RPM's drop all the way to the 4 and then put it in 3rd gear. can somebody tell me what is wrong ???

Yeah, I had that problem in my '94. It grinded every time I shift to 3rd in high RPMs. But the syncro never let out on it, the car had about 160k mile on it when it left my hands, I had it for 60k and it did that when I got the car, never got better, gradually got worse, but I never had a problem if I drove it normal.
4 cyclinders down, 4 to go.....

2. you probably powershift
3. if you do you ****** up your syncro
