Is nitrous a mistake??
Is nitrous a mistake??
I have an 03 Civic EX (D17A2) and I'm thinking about getting nitrous. Alot of close friends and fam say I shouldn't because the car is my daily driver and it's REAL easy to drop an engine running nitrous. I'm considering Turbo but it may take a while to save up the flow and I was thinking of running nitrous until I save it up. I don't race alot, but if I get in a situation where I'm challanged I'd like to at least be able to hang.
What's everyone's opinion on nitrous?

I have spoken with a few about Turbo's and Nitrous. I would check around the site. You'll see there are many diffrent opinions on what to do. I asked the same question too. I am going with the Nitrous, If that helps and I am also daily driver.

Nitrous is harmless when used and installed properly.
Best bang for your buck. Also, nitrous for a daily driven car is safe... remember you have the option of turning it on or off whenever you want. So if you're just driving to work in everyday traffic, turn the thing off and drive normally. When you go to the track or feel like boosting, flick the switch on and have fun.

Exaclty what Im doing. I have decided with nitrous for now. In 8 or 9 days I should be ordering a setup. Go with a wet kit, and get tuned, you should be perfectly fine. Dont spray everywhere either. I wont even have the tank in my car half the time though, since I have the kids 50/50 with their mother. so it is more of a track things, and when I have it in and get challenged, Ill blow some little ricers away. Read up on it a lot first, and make sure you understand it, how to check for detonation, and just be safe. I probably wont even install it by myself, gonna have some friends who know about it help me.
