My car is acting really strange, I live in NY so it cold. I have a 01, I dunno if that matters but I had to jump my car lastnight because it wouldn't start.When I had it running to My dash lights/headlight/Aftermarket head unit would flicker. Today I put a battery charger on my battery, and it started up like a champ, so I backed it into the sunlight. I just started it agian a few min ago, and the idleing was kinda weird it would start at 1,000 then raise to 1,500 and do that over and over. Thanks

Oh yeah, btw I have a small system, it's 1000 watt amp shootin power to a P3 Rockfordfostgate. I just drove my car around and let it Idle and it idled below 1,000. Everythign seems to be workin good.

My guess is that your battery's been drained and is causing your alternator to work overtime. I would take out the alternator and take it somewhere to get it tested. I'm not sure how it is where you live, but around here virtually every auto parts store will test it for free. They also do free battery charging so you might want to look into that as well.
