OK ha, well i was just lookin around on ebay, and saw a "chip" to increas HP 20+ (in most cases). ok well i read further and it says that it is a resistor that u install in a senser that makes the computer think the air going into the engine is colder than it really is. works with a aftermarket intake or OEM. to me this sounds like it would do damage to the engine over a long period of time, and then if u have a CAI and this "chip" and its winter........are u ****ed? haha i mean i dont really know if this is tru or not, just lookin for a lil clear answer abotu this. thanks

yea, does anyone has this mod on their car and have it dynoed?......i doubt.for 5 bucks......i mean is it worth a try, if it doesnt work scrap it, and if it does, 5 bucks well spent ya know
I know exactly what it is. It's a 4.7K ohm resistor. The two leads get pushed in to the 2 sockets on your air temp sensor that goes into your intake. In theory, it makes the ECU think the air is coler outside so it pushes more fuel. Go to Radio Shack and buy the resistor for $0.20.
no, you just plug it into the air temp sensor instead of plugging into your intake. make sure to wrap it with some electrical tape and tie it to something do nothing gets messed up. hope you didnt like good mileage too much.
