Fog install trouble

I don't know if anyone can help me out. I bought some OEM style fog lights off ebay (repo lamp) and i got everything done. I just have one problem. When I ran the fog light harness through the firewall and did all the wiring in the inside of my car with the Switch harness, I seem to not have enough of both because they are short about 3 inches to connect the switch harness and fog light harness? I tried all different ways from the inside to stretch the switch harness far as i can to the fog light harness. I can't pull the fog light harness because of the rubber thing. Does anybody know how to fix this problem? Or is there an adapater that will connect the two, Kind of like an extension cord? Just in case anybody is wondering i have an 01 civic and I used the empty thing next to the power socket to put the switch at and i'm trying to connect the fog light harness and the switch harness on the passenge side underneath the glove box.

Trust me it's long enough - AgressiveAdam's presented a similar problem - just go back to the engine bay and make sure you've got the shortest path from the passenger side fog light to the firewall. Good luck.

I ran the fog light harness through the firewall on the bottom of the engine bay. It has a big wire going through it. If you look behind the console after removing the carpet, you can see it in that area. Should i cut off the rubber thingy on the fog light harness? The rubber thingy won't fit through the firewall.

I put the switch next to the power socket. Its a OEM style fog light so the shortest possible way to connect the two harness is on the passenger side. Wish i can show pics on how short i am to connect the two.
