Ok i did a search and found out a lot about manual transmissions. unfortunatley i found almost nothing on automatic. in my users manual it says that my transmission will hold 2.9 q of ATF-Z1 from honda. but below it it says 'total: 6.0 q'.....so what is it, when i replace my fluid should replace it with 2.9 quarts or 6. i guess i'm confused on what the 6 is referring too.
A lot gets held up in the torque converter, so it doesn't completely empty when you drain it. I would drain it and refill it twice over the course of the weekend to get most of that fluid out.

Um yeah there are at least 4 diy posts and 10 more other question posts. It's 2.9, but you need to check the level with the car warmed up to know for sure.

6 quarts is when flushing the tranny, 2.9 is for drain and refill.
