Is there a problem with my car??
Ok sometime back I missshifted from 5th to 2nd on accident. Now despite what most people think the car does not instantlly spike to 9k. Due to the fact that that type of shift causes the clutch to slip like hell. However my car did hit around 8k. Everthing seemed fine but I ran a compression test to be sure my #s were 180 165 180 180. According to the helms this is good. Well recently it has not felt like the Vtec has been working (which would make sense if I bent intake valves). So I took the compression again my #s were 180 180 165 180. WTF??? I personally think despite the fact that the helms says no less than 130 with a variance of 28 a new car should have no varience at all.
DONT PANIC

all cars can have variances in them. My vette motor is all new. New sleeves, new rings, new pistons, etc. After doing the pre-lube and turning it over a few times, my compression was 245, 243, 220, 234. The compression depends on numerous variables.
If you dont believe me, try this.....
Take out your spark plug and port about 2 oz of oil down there. Then immediately run a compression test. You will notice that the compression is much higher.

if you are worried got have the ecu hook up and see if you have codes spitting out.
Or buy an ODB II code reader.
It plug in to the top right of the gas pedal
The socket is grey
www.harborfreight.com has one for $40
