Dude, I don't think they even make a plate to cover the exterior of the mirror if you take it off, becuase no stock civic's come without a passenger side mirror.
Don't be all ghetto and roll around with a piece of your car missing.
Anyhoo... I believe that if you take the interior door panel off, there should only be a couple screws holding it on. Confirm this with someone who's put on aftermarket mirrors.

Well Running a Search for “gino camaro” on google only gets you a decent match on a web site written in French. So I’m assuming is mostly a Canadian term. It does sound vaguely familiar. But it sounds too much like a derogatory term. So I don’t really use it.

just kidding, I really wouldnt recommend taking it off, you need the side mirror. The rear view mirror is garbage in terms of persepective especially in traffic. but thats my two cents.

^^true, the original idea started with a picture that i saw of a ferrari? or a lambo with only the driver side mirror, it kinda gave the car a racer look, being that it wasnt EXACTLY like a ford taurus or something. isnt that what race cars are all about, functionality vs. practicality?

It's easy to take off...
1. Open the door
2. Pop off the tweeter assembly from the door (it's held on by 3 clips... so just pull but do it carefully)
3. Unplug the wires from the tweeter
4. You will see 3-4 screws. Unscrew them and the mirror should come off
5. Unplug the mirror harness.
