Ooo that looks nice. I wouldn't imagine it would be more than simply cutting to fit and then using some adhesive to hold it up, no? I have a ton of red vinyl left over from my custom trunk, perhaps I will look into this.

yea they prolly put dynamat and then put the carpet over that so it looks more even. Oherwise you would have a hard time with all the holes in the lid.

yeah just cloth with adhesive.. you can use spoons/bottles/whatever to press it in.. you can do it by hand but to prevent rug burn on yer fingers its easyer to use some sort of makeshift tool..

You think 3M 77 adhesive would work on this? I wonder if I should get something more powerful...well, if it falls off this winter, I'll have my answer, ha ha.

Telly I used 3M high stregth spray adhesive with a felt fabric on a subwoofer box once, and it started to eat thru the felt.
So I would test the glue with the fabric before you started to work on it.
Also keep in mind that the trunk is exposed to serious climate changes throughout the year, so you will need an outdoor rated adhesive.

I wouldn't be using felt - I'd likely use the red vinyl left over from my custom trunk this past summer. But I'll look around for a stickier adhesive. Thanks!
