Jerking/Sputtering

Hey my car is jerking and kinda sorta sputtering at the top end of each gear. Around 4500 RPMs it starts to jerk alittle. And from there it just gets worse. Anyone have any ideas about what it could be?

Pull the ECU fuse for 10 seconds. Then put it back, start the car and let it sit and idle for about 10 minutes. Go drive it and see if it still does it.

Spark plugs, or maybe a broken engine mount?

I can feel it drop in performance once i get in the higher RPMs. The jerking comes from the power going and coming. Is that a bad sign?

Yes generally. Reset the ECU first, and then we'll go from there.

just reset the ECU and now it idles at 500RPM instead of 1000RPM does that make any difference? I am about to go drive it and see if it is any better. Wish me luck! Post once I get back.

Resetting the ecu is only to set the idle control. I hope you let the car sit for 5 mins without pressing the gas or using accessories once you pulled the fuse.

Resetting the ECU also clears the fuel trims.
