You could, but... Ew... Do you want something that comes off, or just stick it on there and never be able to take it off? If you're making a CF overlay to your stock hood, why not just make a CF hood? Just take another overlay of the bottom and merge the two when they're cured. You'll have a slightly larger than stock CF hood. Then add in some hinges and the latch and you're all set.

ewwww!! don't do that!!! just save up and buy one if you really want a CF hood. you could even get a CF hood that's vented to help keep your engine cool. also u would have your OEM hood just incase anything happens to your CF hood... get a VIS CF hood... i think the quality is superb!
