Rep Power: 0 AEM CAI to short ram?
hey guys, havent posted on the site in awhile, but i have a question that im sure has been answered many times, but i cant seem to find it. i was thinking about switching my AEM cold air intake to a short ram. i remembered reading awhile back that since the pipe is in 2 pieces that you could take off the bottom one and put a new filter on the top pipe. has anyone attempted this or knows anyone who has attempted this? and if this is the case what size filter would fit the top pipe? any help would be appreciated, thanks.

If you dont have clearance issues and you use your AEM filter, it will work.

Rep Power: 0 i considered doing that..b/c of where the filter would be, i believe its the AEM CAI where the filter will end up closer to the engine, but more air will flow in through the grill, rather than being behind the battery in the SRI..you get what im saying?? stick with the originial filter...if your doing that...but waste of a part...well you can go SRI or CAI depending on the simulation of driving

Rep Power: 0 yeah i know its kind of a waste, but it would set my mind at ease with the winter comin up. i do alot of driving and ive had it on for the past 2 winters but, im sick of worrying about it. so im assuming that the pipe diameter of the top is the same as it is at the bottom? so the same filter will fit up top?
