A/C paneling

A/C paneling
I have a 95 Civic EX and the A/C works except for the blower in the middle of the dash. I believe it's from the vent lid not opening. Can that panel be taken off with a flathead screwdriver or would I need to rip apart the whole dash to take a look? I've tried reaching in there, but it's too far down.
