remove dashboard?

my friend dropped her necklace into the defrost vent of my 2002 civic. Does anybody have any ideas how to get it out? Do I have to remove the dashboard?

It's going to be a pain in the butt getting the front dash off. Good luck to you!

Is it visable in there? Is the necklace magnetic? They make extendable magnet grabbers for getting auto parts and nuts etc out of tight places, maybe that will work so you dont have to remove the dash?

I removed my dash, wasnt too hard, got it back together and screwed in, in about an hour, taking it apart is a little longer. The steering wheel took the longest, the torx screws. Make her pay somebody to get it out, or tell her its gone. Sucks for you both
