I live in the Herndon, Virginia area and am swapping out the clutch on the ol' d17a2 civic. I was wondering if there is anyone on this board who has done a clutch change before on this car and would be able to help me physically or just a general step by step online with my swap. I am not ignorant and have taken out a transmission before on my friends DOHC ZC. I also plan on buying a new flywheel. get at me. thx

its alot of work to explain online. the subframe hasta come out. I had to put a brace across the engine bay and hang the engine up because you hafta take off the pass side and rear engine mounts. Get honda trans fluid its a special type for our trannys. They shift like crap otherwise. 2 quarts should cover ya.i left the struts hanging and just broke the bottom balljoints free to pop the axles. I took it out without help or a tranny jack but to get it in its nice to have both. If you have a book it would be a good idea to read it. Its not hard, just a pain in the butt.

what ever they just said, because I did mine myself. but I got lazy and didn't drop the subframe, it was just enough to take everything out if you have small hands.
