Ok you can get the gels at a local music store that deals with stage lighting.
Or online you can order them through FullCompass.com
There are literally hundreds of different colors to choose from.

Ok the gels will only fade after a long long long time under very very high intesity light... they are made for stage lights so... no they arent going to fade in your car. the top in my pic looks faded because i did a crappy job putting it in and now i have to rip the dash out again
btw, heres a link for the section of the catalog that i think has the gels, its on page 9

OK as for the cruise control, pwr mirrors, and the sunroof buttons... I dont know
I have not taken those out yet. BUT the window switch is a no go. It is an orange LED so you would have to un-soldier the led after you got it out of the thing and find a new blue LED and re-soldier it in... which if you dont have a huge knowledge of electronics and lots of experience... your going to end up going to the dealership to get your window switches replaced.

couple of questions
1) on the site you bought it from, the gel is called Roscolux right?
2) what shade of blue do you have?
3) do you know if they have all the colors in the catalog?

Ok, about pulling off the piece around the guages... after I remove the screws I can't get the f@cker out! My boyfriend and I pulled for like an hour and it wouldn't move, I was also a little afraid I would break something. Any suggestions?

ok ok ok im sorry i went out to do all of this the other night but i got sidetracked making a switch panel and blah blah... but to get it to stick you can use whatever you want... tape superglue whatever... and if you put it infront of a lightbulb the light emitted will be the color of the gel... thats what its used for.
i just finished putting blue in, i left the ***** orange so the kind go with the needles, as far as the cruse and others....i wasn't able to do the sunroof but the others worked........the power mirrors u have to carefully pop off the square and place it across and i used super glue on the ends to hold it in place. the cruise control just cut a little square and poped it in there...no glue no nothing................ it looks tight has hell
Actually, mine turned out really well. I can read them at night now..
What I did was peel out "most" of that white part in the Cruise Button, and wedged a perfect fitting square into the whole button. Now it looks all nice and shiet, I also did the A/C and Defrost, and Circulate buttons. Woowee, can't wait to get my headunit and have everything blue.
I'm gonna try doin the sunroof.
Oh, and what I did with the bulbs was peeled off that rubber outside part that makes the bulbs orange. I used a pair of tweezers and that stuff came off really easy. (Just to warn you, once you hit this point, there's no turning back, so be precise!
