Question SRS Computer Installation ?

Is the installation of a new SRS Computer easy? Is it like just "Plug and Play" thing?

My SRS Light is on and doesn’t come off. The Honda Service department told me that they will have to replace it, but they want about $500 dollars.

Yes the light does bother me.

If you've disconnected your seats, make sure that the plugs are reinstalled correctly.

Thanks Taz757,

Just bumps it up to the front page so that people can see it. Just in case some one knows the answer to my question.

How did the reset DIY work for you?

I haven't done it yet. Been too busy to take the 20 seconds to do it. I guess I need to go pick up one of those "SCS Service Connectors" before I can do much.

You can do it with a paper clip or some speaker wire.

If you were not too far I would do it for you. It is not that hard to do.

Same thing just happened to me... Gonna get it checked out by Honda Service on Tuesday. Do you know if installing a two-way car alarm would have tapped into the SRS wiring? What about an installed aftermarket CD player? Cuz the honda tech told me as long as I haven't tampered with the SRS wiring, it'll be covered.
