Post plug & socket jelly/oil/goo; electrical

hey guys. I hope you guys know what i'm talking about or have a faint idea of it. It's the stuff that you put on plugs that makes it easier to pull in and out of the sockets. If you've ever unplugged the headlight harness, you'll find some OEM jelly on it.

Does anyone know any stuff out there like that? I checked Home Depot and the electrical sections of auto stores, but could not find.

I have a switch with pins on the rear, that plugs into a socket. It's really tight but not impossible to disconnect. I want to add some jelly there to make it loose and make disassembling the console faster

The first step of taking the console apart is taking off the ebrake panel. My switches are on the panel. those who don't know my setup might just keep tugging away, damaging wires or something (if anyone ever has to do it for some reason like emergency or service).

thanks for your help in advance!

I "think" it's ordinary white grease. I know that silicone grease will work as well.

Its dielelectric grease, and its there to prevent corrosion and help conductivity, not to make it easier to get things in and out.

Dielectric grease is non conductive. But that's what you want to use. Dielectric grease seals against moisture and helps things slide on and off. The grease is pushed out of the way when you slide the plug on so there is metal to metal contact. This is also the same stuff you use on spark plug boots... back in the day.
