use this link to learn how to open your headlights http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=155290
Then tape them up so you just get the parts you want to paint, and paint with hi-temp paint. If you want to just smoke the outside have fun doing so u can put out enough light to not get pulled over at night!

its really simple...but it depends on what you want to do. if you just want to paint, all you need is the paint, spray paint or if you have the paint guns that is better (finer mist i think and no splatters like with the cans). then you need a rarp or cloth so that you dont get paint on anything else and maybe some masking tape and cardboard to cover the parts you dont want to paint (but thats optional).
i painted mine w/o masking anything off, so now my parking lights dont reflect as much as they did when it was chrome. but mine are silver so its not too bad, if youre going for black or dark colors, mask that part off so it stays chrome.
if you want to get more complex and paint the reflector orange also, like mex did (he was the first), then you also need the orange paint, but its really not a hard process to paint your lights.
make sure you separate the part you want to paint from the housing...theres 3 pieces, you want to paint the one that goes around the main headlight reflector.
as far as the paint, that depends on what color you want and how much you want to spend. i just used silver/chrome spray paint from pep boys. i didnt go for anything high temp...it doesnt get that hot in the headlights. but if you want something more intricate, like gunmetal, you might have to go and spend some more $$ on that...but maybe pep boys has that also. it would such to have to mix paint to paint your headlights. if youre matching with your body color, you might have to mix paint.
