Paint Removal....

I have pianted the trim pieces in my car a while ago, and I would like to take the piant off. What would be the best way to get the piant off, and keep the pieces in good condition when the paint comes off? I know some stuff will make the pieces dull and cracked... what are your suggestions? Thanx a lot.

Get some acetone, but you may want to dilute with some water so it doesn't mess up the plastic. You can try alcohol, but that will take all day.

just repaint it black, much easier than putting chemicals on it that could possibly warp the plastic

if you don't plan on repainting them, then just buy new ones

if you do want to them repainted (i.e. black, silver, etc.) just soak some really fine sandpaper in water and sand the paint off. then just primer and spray paint the piece.

yeah repainting them black is the best bet .. or buy new ones .. i wouldn't use any chemicals or anything abrasive since that could just damage it

I tried using brake fluid, and it didn't work so great. I tried brake parts cleaner, it worked ok so far, but it's kinda messy. I appreciate everyone's help.
