that is a different motr looks like a d15or16, you can see it has different cover and also has a distributor on the left side top cporner sticking out

looks like a d16... but hey, we dont know about the lesser engines from japan. they could have those over there and we'd not know about it.

its a d series of some sort, maybe from one of those little van things they sell over there or a small hatchback. Definantly not a K series, headers are on the wrong side. Weird airbox mounting. I'm really curious to know what that came out of. And yes the Japanese civics use the same basic engines as ours, nothing weird like that.

Maybe they have a different version over there - as someone pointed out before it has a distributor. Last time I checked our cars have coil packs....

It may be a "japanese" D17 - but its definitely not the same engine design as our engines (which is why I posted this in the first place - wondered if anyone knew wth this thing was)....
