Honda is retarded here and no one knows what the hell they are doing ive narrowed it down by process of elimination..engine has been replaced and everything else was checked plus i have spoken to some who have had the same problems i am having...Hey k20a1 is there any chance you can get me a phone number of one of those places you speak of i would mosy deffinatly apreciate it. I am desperate
Thats sucks man! I feel for you. I've checked ebay and did a search on Google. I can't seem to find anything for an 01 HX. I'll keep looking though.
What city \ state are you located in?
Also I'm not sure if it matters but does your car have the SRS side impact?

I've done a little more research on ECU failures. It seems problems can occur with the ECU when relays go out in the control unit.
Unless you are a 100% sure it's the ECU I think it would be worth taking a look at your control unit and make sure all of the components are securely attached and are in good shape. It could be something as simple as a $6 relay.
I'm not sure what happened to the car or what it's doing so it's kind of hard to diagnos.
Anyway best of luck to you!

I work for one of a handful of ecu repair shops in the united states actually. We can test it out to see if its bad and repair it like new if anything is wrong with it. Warrantied for a year too. For info look at http://www.autocompusa.com/
