Sedan/Coupe Headlight Assm. Difference?

Hey all,

I noticed on autodynamic.com they sell the same headlight assemblies for different prices varying on wheather or not the car is a coupe or sedan? Is there really a difference or are they just trying to make alittle extra off the noobs like myself.

Thanks

The only diffrence is the Turn Signal and the paking light Plugs, on the sedan they are diffrent size and color then the coupes, so they dont fit.

also the stock sedan headlight has a diffrent kind of silicon then the coupe, which is harder to take apart..

hm

you have to take a look at the difference between 01, 02 and 03

when i changed my headlight in dealer...they got the wrong headlight....i assume they got the 03....and, they got the wrong type too...i think they got 03 sedan headlight..

so...
the small light (the one with circular on the front) doesn't fit....

the amber light(the one on the side) fit...

however, THE DANGLING REFLECTOR inside the chrome halogen IS DIFFERENT.

mine (02) shaped like a half cylinder...while this one (i assume 03), shaped like a fork!!!

BEWARE!

true..

that's why i think those dumbass on toyota dealer got the totally wrong one...

i assumed, 03 sedan headlight..

actually, i told them to make sure that they ordered the '02 COUPE headlight....
and those dumbass insisted that they checked the parts based on my VIN..
hence the holy dumbness of those toyota technician

why toyota dealer? because i bought it over there...and they agreed to change my moisted headlight....i just bought the car for a month...

Well, I looked at the website, it is not the year difference, but the sedan/coupe difference(All year Coupe: 374546. All year Sedan: 368551).
The sedan has a better design for the reflector, if that is true. It should have a better cut off and should be wider due to the more complex reflector design. Probably it was made in Japan or something, the light output look like a older TL.
Coupe's headlight reflector is crap, especially if you put some 4100K white light inside, turn out to be completely yellow.....
Other things I am not sure. But I think the sedan's headlight will perform better than coupes.

read the stickied thread in parts...

and for future reference, 02 coupe headlights WILL fit 03 coupes without ANY modification

sedan headlights physically will fit the coupe.. but teh socket for the bulb adaptor is different for both signal and parking lamps

To any body that think I am off topic:

I just want to suggest that if you get one sedan lamp, then get another sedan lamp on the other side too. It's just better.

ok, my point is...

you have to be careful when you want to buy sedan's headlight but you got yourself a coupe...OR vice versa..

i know that 01 02 03 headlights fits....

my point is that, some people said that the only difference is on the socket...

however, consider this and the picture below..
