moisture in headlight assembly

i guess when i did my headlight lense clearing mod, i didn't seal one of the headlight housing assemblies correctly. when i wash the car, or when it rains, i get a little bit of moisture inside of the headlight housing. i was going to use like a silicon gasket in a tube and try to give it a better seal. what would you all recommend to use to seal the housing better?
