Launching my Civic

Simple question; what's the best way to get my 2000 Civic LX manual rolling? I can't seem to get it off and going cleanly. A step by step process would be great, if possible.

Here's what I've been doing... revving to around 3k and letting out the clutch, which causes it to buck harshly. Rev any lower and it stalls; rev any higher and i burn out.

Thanks! I appreciate absolutely any help!

This is my daily driver, so it's completely stock.

How would I go about feathering the clutch?

I'm thinking that if I was to rev to about 2500 and feather the clutch I may have a smoother result.

Thanks!

try launching at 5k or even 5,5K i did it on mine and it launches good!!! but with a dunlop formula901 tires

try holding ur handbrake up (to stop ur car) while staging at 5K and do a half clutch, when ur ready release ur clutch and drop ur handbrake >>> i got great ET times when i tried this one

I holed mine normally at 1500 to get a smooth launch. But when Im up for a quick go to get ahead at a light i hold it at about 2200-2300ish.

you should be able to launch at 2300-2500 on stock tires w/out the excess burnout...if you get better tires you may be able to launch at high rpms
