Alarm not locking / unlocking

I've been putting in a Compustar alarm in my 2004 Civic LX Sedan and have run into a problem. I hooked up the (+) lock output which doubles as a (-) unlock output to the White/Green wire in the large gray harness above the driver's clutch foot. I hooked up the (-) lock output that doubles as a (+) unlock output to the white/blue wire in the same harness.

I assumed that the (+) lock was the same as the (-) unlock and the (+) unlock was the same as the (-) lock, since both wires are (-) outputs. Do I need a relay to reverse polarity?

When I press the lock button I hear the relay click in the alarm brain, the parking lights flash but the locks do not lock. When I press the button to unlock the locks, I again hear the relay click and the parking lights flash but the locks do not unlock.

Do I have the wires hooked up correctly? Any help is appriciated. Thanks in advance.

Well, I have an update. After a day of troubleshooting, I figured out that the Compustar relay and the civic's relay are clicking in unison, so it's not a problem with the Compustar unit, nor wiring. After the lock or unlock signal leaves the lock/unlock relay though, nothing happens. Any help would be appriciated.

well, its not a common problem, but id suggest using relays, the alarm comes as a reverse polarity circuit, if the alarm outputs positive on one wire, it will output negative on the other. im thinking maybe the positive output is cancelling out the lock/unlock operation. so by giving only a solid negative output might work. i doubt that tho, so my second guess is that you have the wrong wire...make sure you have the power lock wires and not the lock motor wires. test them using a meter.
