Okay, so I called my dealership and asked them whether or not I would void my warranty by putting a CAI or SRI on my 'Vic. Their response was something along the lines of "there will only be a problem if the check engine light comes on as a result of the intake."
Now for my question:
If I install an intake and the check engine light comes on as a result of this, is the technician who plugs the diagnostic machine in notified that an aftermarker intake has been used and this is the root cause? Or does it give him some general somethins !@#$ed up response?
I'm wondering if I can get a CAI, and if the check engine light comes on, can I put stock airbox back gat away with this? Anyone ever tried this before? results?

To avoid having your Engine light come on. The first thing that you will have to do is disconnect your negative side of your battery. Make sure you have your Stereo codes (only on OE stereo) disconnecting the resonator will not give you any problems it’s the air box that will. Just make sure that you remember where every thing goes. Any thing that you pull out makes sure to put it back. After putting your new intake put back your negative and start the car. DON’T rev it up just start the car let it sit for like 10min. And no if you put back your old intake back they will not know that you had it off.

just reset again. thats just to relearn the base idle. also don't forget the intake air temp sensor. if you don't plug it back in, you'll get a check engine light. but unplugging the battery resets the light.
