Help!!!!!! I really fu(ked up now.

Guys I really ****ed up now. I rotate my own tires and apparently when I rotated them last a wheel stud got stripped. Today, when I went to switch my rims back to stock I snapped one of the studs off. The worst thing its on the drive tires and I need my car back by Wednesday. Can anyone give me an idea of the cost to repair it..PLEASE!!!!! Thanks again guys.

you can go to like autozone, or advacnedauto and they carry studs. They can also order and have it the next day.

dude, replace it yourself. All you need is a hammer and a punch to knock out the old one and a hammer to put the new one in. you will be pissed if you pay the shop and see how easy it is.

I think you only need to remove the hub on the rear wheels, if you have drum brakes. I have a 1.7EL so I have discs in th back.

its a B*TCH to remove the hubs on the front...he said its the drive wheel that has the broken stud. I highly recommend taking it to pro if you don't know what your doing. I tried DIYing, but i didn't have a slide hammer, so i couldn't get the hub out. No matter how hard to hammer, that **** will break before it comes out, you need specific tools to get it right.

I just paid $103 to replace 3 studs. What a expense. I had a shop do it. They said it would be cheaper if the hub didnt have to be removed.
That is where most of the labor comes from.

Wow 75 - 100 bux to replace a stud? Replacing a stud takes about 5 minutes max including removing the hub. I even had to remove my wheel spacers with a flattip screwdriver (hehe). FYI - If you have a Brakes Plus around, they replace studs for free. A big "DOH!" to you guys, eh?
