Rep Power: 0 And what kind of moron puts his gas cap on his trunk or hood??? They too should have their keys taken away. Just put the cap on the gas pump (phillips 66 has big box looking pumps that have the credit card reader built into them).

Rep Power: 0 H and A has got the CRV gas cap hanger listed in the 01/02 Civic section with mods instructins for a couple of dollars. I ordered one when I ordered the OEM body kit.

Rep Power: 0 Just got back from Chevron. Regular gas was $107.9 per gal. I put the gas cap on the holder, and even though it was rather windy, it held it fine. Easy on, easy off, and I didn't forget and leave the cap on the pump or on the trunk. Great idea!

Rep Power: 0 << HAHAHAHAH that DIY makes me laugh >>
I feel compelled to point out that I did not follow the DIY exactly. I placed the gas cap holder in the center of the gas door so as to be symetrical and not spoil the asthetics of the car when the gas door is open. I am seriously contemplating painting the gas cap holder to match the car body color.

Rep Power: 0 Yes that's true. You spend less time fumbling with the gas cap at fillup and that means less time for gas to evaporate out of the open filler hole. Over time that adds up.

Rep Power: 0 Hey man, this thread needs to stay here where we can find it. At least until all the 2K1 folks who need gas cap hangers have got the word. I got so used to the gas cap hanger on my Firebird that I was haning my Honda cap and there was no hanger and the cap was falling on the ground and getting all dirty. I just don't know what I would have done if not for this thread.
