You'll only feel a difference if your old ones are bad. I had to change mine at 18K cause they were black. I got some NGK Iridium IX plugs for $27 total. Not too bad. The double platinum is supposed to last longer. I think Iridiums are still around 60k miles or so. If you have a turbo, then you need to get a different kind of plug.

Platinum will give you long life and fewer changes. Copper produces a better spark, but you have to change them more often. Iridium is the hardest metal plug around and will last a very long time. It also produces a hot spark.
My choice: NGK V-groove coppers ZFR6F-11 or Champion RC12MC4. Change them every 24,000 kms (15,000 mi).
