Fog light switch
Fog light switch
i recently just bought a set of OEM style fog lights off of ebay and was wondering they fit the two doors cuz on teh box it says 4 door?? and where hte heck am i suppose to put the fog light switch at???? they said to place it in one of the empty slots where u see our CRUISE, SIDE MIRROR TILT, SUN ROOF buttons are, but then there is no empty slot where i can put the switch in. does anyone know if thes fog lights fit the 2 door and if so where do i put the switch at?? help me please
alloriginal, so u put yours on top of hte cup holders right? under the radio center console area. becuz i don't have my car back yet form the shop cuz i got hit but was thinking that the slots looked kind of small for that switch.
If you've got a 2003 model Civic, the fog light switch won't fit in the cigarette lighter area, its a different size than the openings for the mirror, sunroof, and cruise. I had to run mine over to my empty slot (no sunroof).

i threw mines next to the cig lighter like said earlier. but no, it wont fit perfectly, you will have to find a way to hold it in place. for now i have my switch covered in electrical tape so its thicker, and then squeezed in the hole. i have yet to find a permanant solution. i did notice how it conveniently fit perfectly in the cruise/moonroof/pwr mirror slot. where does a brand new off the showroom 2002 civic ex coupe have the fog light switch placed??? i wonder???

It goes right where D5cIvIc said it does. I've got an '02 Coupe with the OEM fogs and there are two slots it can go in just above the cupholder and to the left of the power accessory socket. Most likely the instructions you got for the swith were for the 6th gen Civic. I had a '99 Coupe and the switch does go next to the mirror control/sunroof switch left of the steering wheel and below the left A/C vent. But on an '02 it goes in one of the two empty slots - your choice.
Heres what I did, sorry if it takes some time to load (Photos are kind of shitty, bad lighting):
The arrows are pointing at where i used my Dremel to shave down the switch(to make it thinner so it could fit nicely into the opening, you have to becareful not to shave it too much.)
This is where i used alot of electrical tape and other stuff to make it thicker and to support it. I know it looks like **** but it works.
The arrow points to where i used the small screw to hold the whole switch in place (You also have to becareful here, due to the small area where you must predrill a small hole before puting the screw in place.)

Hope this helps to anyone who needs it...
