I was lookin around for some blue 7443 signal bulbs at Pepboys to the 3 stores that I went to including Checkers... They ain't got ****... so I ended up buying a HyperWhite 100watt H1 bulb, which I don't need . But before I leave to pay for my shizzle, I glanced to this 3 in 1 fog lights I dunno if any ya'll lucky bastards got this installed on your ride already but... for 60 bucks, I wanted to check it out... I got a lil cash to spend for my ride so here it is....

1---It had a 55watt HyperWhite Light
2---It had a Blue Light Halo which it matched to the recent Killa Halo Upgrade I did a week ago http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...hreadid=137457
3---And it had lil strobies on em so I thought it was cool.... I'll install it tomorrow...

The shizzle was so bright with my cluster halo light on LOL everybody giving me the highbeam signal.... hmmmm hint... hint... I wonder what could it be...

Blue 7443 9LED Cluster signal lights coming in this week to match the halos... it's illegal... but hey!!!, it is only illegal if I drive light an A S S H O L E on the street and get pulled over right?

haha. no it's illegal either way. Have fun getting pulled over. I got pulled over twice JUST for having for red LED cluster signal lights. Not for traffic violations... Cost? $55 then $45. Second time the cop said if I don't change it already he'd seize my car the next time around.

I wouldn't be surprised if a cop pulls you over for that tinge of blue around ur halos. have fun.

The thinge on my halos can BE TURNED ON AND OFF FOOL!!!

I'm an MP AND WORKING WITH METRO COPS so I know how I can manipulate the system a bit

HERE'S SOME TO HELP YA NOOBIES OUT:

1.-- I have blue LED's, Not as illegal and noticeable like the red... you moron!!!
2.-- When installing any illegal lights on your ride always have a "SWITCH" to turn it on or off
3.-- When pulled over by PO-PO, You can do the "ON THE SPOT CORRECTION" so ALWAYS bring your amber signals or headlight bulbs with you!!!
4.-- You don't have to pay for the ticket when you change the signal bulb or headlight, or uninstall the illegal light and, then go to court after you get away with it, and if you're stubborn you can put it back on
5.-- Cops can't seize your car if you have the legal lights with you to replace it, "he can ONLY seize your car coz it's illegal for you to drive the car with illegal lights on and not able to change legal lights for you to drive on the street"
6.-- Don't argue with the cops! Period! if you wanna say some smart *** comments keep it to yourself! and ALWAYS! ALWAYS! ALWAYS! go to the court! UNLESS OTHERWISE YOU HAVE A WARRANT THEN HIDE YOUR *** ... but anything he wrote you for, fix it first before you go to court, you will get away with it

"FIX THE VIOLATION, GO TO COURT, 90% OF THE TIME YOU'LL GET AWAY WITH IT"

Just a FREEBEE: When you get any traffic violation specially "SPEEDING" there is a "TRAFFIC CLASS" for about 4-8 hours you can attend to, then go to court with your traffic class card you can eliminate your ticket but speeding will only cut it in half so... If you did 100MPH instead of 600+bucks, you will only pay 300 so get your extra 300 bucks and refill your NOS and or buy yourself a beer and chill at the krib and tell all your friends how you got away with the ticket and or how an AHOLE that PO-PO that pulled you over

ehh i never had problems withthe pigs around here....and they hate lil done up civics (hell who doesnt? that is a police officer). Thanks for the info though! I will keep ur name in mind if i get another ticket!.....

BTW i love the lights i am going to look for them in white. How was the install? the switch has to be a little different with strobes, halos and fogs........whats the interior swtich look like? Thanks!

Wow thanks for flaming me. My friend got pulled over for blue LEDs. If it's not white or not amber then it's noticable and illegal IMO...the end. I was just TRYING TO HELP YOU OUT because I've been pulled over twice by cops for lights. I guess you thought it was some kind of knowledge "who knows best" war. I'm sorry if you feel so angry about me looking out for another 7thgenner.


If you fix it and go to court that doesn't mean that you weren't driving with illegal lights on.

Likewise... if you steal something and then go to court and say you're no longer a thief and that you have repented and confessed your sins, does that mean you can get away with it? I don't think that means that you didn't commit the crime.


When the cops pulled my friend over he had his amber bulbs with him and he asked the cop if he switch the lights on the spot and the cop was like "I already wrote the ticket."


My point is.... with my luck with cops... they won't let me change the bulbs on the spot and the judge will most likely not give a shi+ about if I repaired it or not.

My WHOLE point is that I don't want to even see another cop's face by my window because I might just lose it next time I do. I don't even want the trouble.


Now if having blue lights is worth all the trouble for you to go to court and explain this and that to cops on the street and to the judge then go you. I just don't have the time, money, or patience.

Cops can seize your car for not being able to drive it without illegal lights on... I mean basically I think cops have a lot of power and half of the time it's not used in an ethical way.

Like take Grey for example... he got a speeding ticket for going 85 when he was only going 65. Just because the cop shouldn't lie doesn't mean he won't. Likewise... when a cop orders you out of the car even tho he has no reason for you to get out... you don't say "you can't order me out of the car." If a cop says "I'm gonna seize your car" and he proceeds to do so, then no one is going to care whether or not he has a right to or not. He will do so and even if it is wrong and when I take it up with higher authorities, the most I will get is an apology and an "oh well." I see cops running red lights for no reason, speeding in excess of 25mph and heard stories of them searching cars without a warrant or probable cause. Just because they can do it doesn't mean it's right.

I've been driving for 8yrs with clean record!

If you are talkin bou the halos the install took about the whole day, this is one of the DIY's not to rush in to, or you'll f!@# everything up!

Anyway yeah white is nice too, and plus whites are LEGAL ... but what I did was a complicated way of doing it... because the way I set up the resistors!

So here it is, instead of doing the 150 and 180, somebody told me it is simplier with the 800+ohms so it'll will not burn your LED's out...

The switch is pretty simple the switch will cost about 4bucks, and what I did was i ran the positive on both halos. Or if you're cheap like I do, just use the wire connectors so you can pull em on off

The install is pretty self explinatory, it comes with the illustrated instructions in the box, and it only took me about less than 2 hrs coz I have to take out the bumper and all that, but the bitchy part is to get the wire through the firewall!

The 3 in 1 foglights switch comes in with the set! here's how the switch look like, power is in the middle, fogs on right and strobes on the left!

1-----Stealing is not the same concept as to the vehicles legallity, stealing is a felony! like killin or shootin somebody! red bulb ain't!!! it's a bulb!!! If you are a thief I'll beat you up myself!!! I hate thieves!!! They stole 4 of my valve covers!!!

2-----When the cops say you are over speeding and you go to court and say NO that's dumb!!! say if he was speeding for 85 on 60, tell them you were speeding for 73, you are still speeding but then it's in half, then you pay half!!! see? don't drive like a AHOLE you will get in trouble quick! never ever drive over 10mph over speed limit anythin than that you're on your own!!! Take it to the track!!!

3-----Once the cops writes the ticket that's it!!! they can't alter the ticket! so think of an original excuse! and make it humble and quick! if they bought it, they'll give you a "FIX IT TICKET"

3-----You didn't go to court coz either one you don't have time, or two, you are a lazy A S S! so pay for it and quit bitch!n!!!

4.-----You can't just say "HEY BIG BOI COP, IF I CHANGE MY LIGHT I'LL GET AWAY WITH THE TICKET" instead say, "I'm about to change the light when you pulled me over and I have the lights in the back!" if he still right you a ticket, go to court!!! you said it yourself you can't stand cops, therefor you probably didn't act properly!

5.-----You got pulled over once with the illegal lights on and you still have it on? tahell you were thinkin?

6.-----You think cops have a lot of power! True! but you can get away with most of them, not right up front while he's giving you a ticket, but at later a time, I work with the same aspect that they do and I personnaly asked the cops myself on what I can get away of, coz I work with them all the time, so yeah "YOU STAY LEGAL" Period! and you live in Maryland State! yup stay LEGAL!

7-----You may get away once, twice or the third, but maybe not the fourth! so think before you act!

Yes but that wasn't my point. My point was that if you did it (stealing or running around with illegal bulbs) then you did it. Even if you fix it and go to court then even tho the chances are 90% you'll get out of it in Las Vegas or wherever, I'll be in that 10% that doesn't get out of it in Maryland.

The point is... cops have the authority to pretty much do anything they want at that moment and you may or may not be able to get reparations for their actions later. That doesn't mean that they won't still do it (lie about your speed or seize ur car, for example) right NOW.


Second or third time around it's kinda hard to think of an original excuse IMO. Cop will be like "didn't you get the message from the first or second time you got pulled over?" Even though you get out of a ticket in court, the traffic stop still stays on your record doesn't it? That's what I thought. I told the cop the 2nd time that I went on vacation immediately after I got my first ticket and that I didn't have time to change it. He still gave me a ticket even though I was polite about it.


I work full time 40-50 hours a week I don't have the time. True there is some down time during my work to post on the forums but I still have to actually be at work if I'm needed. I did pay for it and I ain't bitchin. damn bro.

I on the other hand do not know any cops so I'm not as lucky. Your first post for US NEWBIES made it seem like you have knowledge about getting out of illegal lighting traffic stops, and you intend to use that knowledge to continue to use blue lights whether or not you get pulled over. I could be wrong though.
