Question o2 sensor problem

hey guys im installing my megan racing downpipe w/ high flow cat. i cant get the second o2 sensor out of the catalyctic converter how do you get to it. i cant get a wrench in there and its just rounding the o2 sensor how do you get it off.

Well I just did this 2 days ago, what I did was pull off the heat shield thats wrapped around it and then once I did that I took a good crescent wrench and put it on it and then just put some elbow grease on it and it broke loose. Other than that, that is all you can really do, dont strip it that will be no fun.

go to your local pro. shop and ask them for an 02 rench they will knwo hat ya mean

Yup!!! Do that because you run the risk of stripping the nut...They make a specific tool for this like Goku said and it is inexpensive

i think autozone will even let you rent it...thats what i did...i just said no to buying one because they wanted 12 bucks for it..

All you need is a good angle!!! Its kinda difficult and you can strip your .....nevermind. Go get the wrench from autozone. I just have a taste for the danger side of things!!

the size for that nut is 7/8"

so just ask for a 7/8" wrench... altho you can use the o2 socket.. but whats the fun in that?

yeah thanks for the help guys i ended up just cutting 02 wires and putting a deep well socket on it, because i had to cut the wires anyway so i could put my mil eliminator on. and thanks again for the help
