i'm trying to take off my vents so i can put some LEDs in the vents. i've already tried searching but havent had much luck. if i'm not mistaken, you're just supposed to pry off the outter vents right? or am i wrong? how do you remove the two center vents?

i have no idea for the center ones, but the outter ones just come off, use something sharp and pull them out, very easy.

Just use a screw driver covered by a piece of cloth to pry the side vents out. In order to get to the center two vents, you need to remove the whole center console peice.
