Maintance Light Solution
Maintance Light Solution
Ok, I had a post in another thread but lost track of it. In the manual it says in order to reset the Maintance Required Light off, to do the following:
1. Turn off the engine.
2. Press and hold the Select/Reset **** in the instrument panel, then turn the ignition switch ON (II).
3. Hold the **** until the indicator resets (approximately ten seconds).
Also, there is some additional information on why the light comes on. As follows:
From the 2003 Owner's Manual:
For the first 8,000 miles (12,800 km) after the Maintenance Required Indicator is reset, it will come on for two seconds when you turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
Between 8,000 miles (12,800 km) and 10,000 miles (16,000 km) this indicator will light for two seconds when you first turn the ignition switch to ON (II), and then flash for ten seconds.
If you exceed 10,000 miles (16,000 km) without having the scheduled maintenance performed, this indicator will remain on as a constant reminder.
- I tried this, and it worked for me. As for the Check Engine Light, that has to do with emission sensors. Hope this is useful for anyone that has had the same/similar problem. It's in the manual, but I'm sure many people did not bother reading it.

No, no. You're doing it all wrong.
You're supposed to:
1. Let people post new threads saying "How do I turn off my maintenance light?".
2. Everyone else then comes and flames them for being a moron and not reading their owners manual like they should have.
3. Then I get to lock the thread.
4. Then we get to go back and ***** in Off-Topic.
