so lets u have 4 fat women and they weigh at about 300 lbs each 4x300=1200lbs
ur ice =80lbs
total weigh=3980 lbs

ur so stupid! remember u only have a d17 turbo....even u have a k20 turbo running 15 psi
u still cant take me in 2nd gear..... ex. mustang 3500 lbs.....350 hp still smoke by an s2000

u better think stupid! lol

lmao ur numbers are wrong... my sub ALONE without the box weighs alil more then 90lbs.

my ice totals in at about 400lbs.

**** not TO mention im runnin on 18's.

oh btw... mustang? ive owned them..
s2000? YEA RIGHT.. mabye with a SC it can keep up.

if you guys are so worried about weight why dont u start removing **** like bumper supports / cut them off. hmm u can seal the trunk and get rid of the swing arms. take out the head lights and all the bumpers.

Did you know that the glass in a car weighs a ton.. why not remove it all and go plastic? lmao.

this thread is stupid.

the only thing ur gonna get by removing the AC is ***** of sweat coming down ur face when its hot out .

Ill make sure to be Cranking my AC at full boost during the summer.

The defroster uses the A/C to remove humidity, yes heat can do the same thing but not here in Florida. If my windows are fogged up and its a humid night, my windows will never defrost without my A/C. A A/C system is designed to remove moisture from the air, thats why the air feels colder is becuase its removing BTU's from the air.

I've repaired at least 500 A/C systems in all sorts of cars, and I can tell you from experiance that a compressor in late model cars weigh less than 20 lbs. A total removal of all A/C related parts; compressor, condenser, evaporator, accumulator, supply lines would probably total under 80 lbs. because most parts are aluminum.

You should never vent refrigerant out into the air, have it removed at a shop. The reason refrigerant (r-134a, r-12) isn't safe, is because it displaces oxygen, which means that you could suffocate in the right situation, other than that refrigerant is non-toxic.

Yes, there are cars without A/C and yes thay have a harder time removing moister from windshields. Having the A/C working while you use your defrosters clears the windshield faster. I'm not saying that just heat won't work, but if you live in a area with high humidity, like I do, then you need your A/C.

Haven't you noticed that when you turn on your defrosters your A/C comes on? Unless you re-programed it for it not to come on the factory sets this as a default just for that reason. I see that you live in Ohio and I can relate to the winter months, I lived in Michigan, so I can see why you wouldn't want A/C on with the defrosters.

I've spent many years working on climate controll systems, and I'm ASE certified in A/C, so I'm not just talking out my rear end here. Use what ever works best for you in the climate you live in. I just don't understand why people take nice cars and start removing major components, just for performance issues. I own a 1971 Olds 442 with a 455 and it has A/C and my 1990 mustang GT also has A/C, and the A/C kicks on both of them with the defroster on.
