3 bolts and it pops right out with the plastic rectangular airbag cover.

dont even need to remove the dash to get the bag out.


and as to the steering wheel having to have been taken out, i just kinda wiggled, pulled, jammed, tugged and argued with it for a while till i somehow got it out.
